Glendale, AZ - Just after the opening kickoff of the Arizona Cardinals’ preseason
game against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, Cardinals season ticket
holder John Coulter wanted to take a picture. He says he asked his
15-year-old son to hold his beer cup while he did so. Seconds later, two undercover officers with the Arizona Department of
Liquor Licenses and Control approached him. Coulter says they told him
that what he did was illegal and that he could be arrested for it. In
the end, officers escorted the father and son out of the University of
Phoenix Stadium.
This story is classic Alcoholic Beverage Control 101. Just looking for a reason to arrest you. Nevermind that scummy liquor stores and 7-11's are where poor adults buy underage kids booze for a little extra cash. Nope. Let's just ruin this father-son duo's day at the game.
Honestly, where does it end with this shit? If you order a few beers and hand your kid the tray to grab his hot dog. Gotcha. Can he help carry a cooler at a tailgate? The irony is that if these two had been illegal immigrants, their DREAMer status probably would've kept them from being ejected. You want to see my ID?? That's racist.
