I was originally going to let this story go, but I can't stand the bullshit coming out of Dempster's camp. They are claiming that Ryan hit ARod because of a snub at some public speaking event. That may have happened, but that is not why he threw at him. He threw at him because he COULD. No repercussions. The Fenway Faithful were begging for it from the get go, cheered for it when it happened, and he even got to stay in the game. Plus its the AL, so he never has to come to the plate.
Today they are going to probably suspend Dempster enough to miss 1 start, but I know for a fact that there would be no suspension had he not thrown behind ARod earlier in the at bat. Just another example of baseball's unwritten rules - Don't miss the first time. That Dempster wasn't tossed instantaneously was an absolute joke.
