Outlaw College Football Polls

College football polls grind my gears in general, but preseason polls especially get under my skin.  I am not just saying this as a disgruntled USC fan, as we started #1 last year and were the first team to ever finished outside the top 25.  I am saying this just as every rational human being should saying the exact same thing.

The only true college football polls come from oddsmakers in Las Vegas.  For instance, UCLA is ranked 21st with USC ranked 24th according to the AP Poll.  According to oddsmakers, UCLA's win total is placed at 6.5 games while USC's win total is slated at 9.5 games.  This simple analogy shows how utterly useless these polls really are.
