Javier Mascherano #14 of Argentina came out of his post game press conference with a different story than I expected yesterday. I fully expected a media onslaught about the apparent concussion he sustained and was allowed to play through. The lack of attention to concussion safety obviously took a backseat to this amazing tidbit from Mascherano, "I tore my anus on the play at the end. So the pain..." Torn anus is a new one for me, so I'm actually amazed he finished the game considering his dueling injuries. Hey Javier, Germany is gonna rip you a new asshole as well, so you should thank the Netherlands for loosening you up.
